The game aint too bad, as far as mini games go, they're fun as always, much like playing the console versions only on DS, not as many touch screen games as i thought there would be.
There is 4 out of the 5 boards unlocked initially, to get the 5th one you have to play through story mode. You have to win on the board to advance to the next one (not before you do a boss battle). Ive only played the first board so far, took me 3 attempts at winning as previous two i got robbed of my star.
What i find interesting is that unlike the console versions, at the end of the game (its a 10 turn game in story mode so its not too long which is good) there isn't a tally to get more stars, such as who won most coins, mini games and whatnot, what you get on the board, thats it. You do get MP points (mario party points) which you can use to spend to get stuff i guess (i havent really looked into it yet)
There is Story mode, Party mode, mini game mode, there is a gallery and another area with games that arent in the mario party games, just mini puzzle games which at the end also earn you MP points
I could go into it more but i'll save that for when (if i ever) do a review for it
