Over time our gallery section myds.com.au/ has started to get a little messy with an excess of off topic images, poor quality images, and general repeats. Listed in this thread are some helpful guidelines that we hope you can find the time to look over before uploading your images in the future.
Some of you may notice that gallery images will begin to be removed as we find time to do so. Please don't think that we are being rude because we didn't contact you prior to deleting the images as you can imagine there will be quite a lot to go through.
Our goal here is to have a gallery primarily focused on videogames and this website and for everything to be in its correct place.

Misc Funny Pics:
We're all for some laughs and there's millions of pics on the net that can give us that. Rather than load up the gallery section up with demotivational posters and lolcat pics you can post them in here myds.com.au/ in our "Funny Pics" thread. That thread has had over 200,000 views so any LULZ you wish to share will get noticed.

MySpace Pics:
First off we do not discourage members posting a pic of them selves on this site. If you are confident enough to share your true identity with the cyber world then go nuts but rather than post your pic in the gallery where you are bound to get an excessive amount of attention (negative and positive) why not embed them in your profile or dig up one of the "real life" pics thread and post it there.
If you have a pic of your self that's gaming related eg "this is me at eGames" or "this is me copping a Wii remote to the side of the face" then it can slide it's self in there.

So here's a picture of my pet Wombat...
We love to see any aspects of your life that you are willing to share and the best place to do that is in a thread, just a couple of seconds spent using the search bar will no doubt net you a suitable thread that you can post a pic of something you would like to share. If there's nothing that matches what you are looking for by all means please go ahead and start a new discussion.

Correct sized images:
There's no official image sized we require all we ask is that they are of a decent size. We don't want something the size of a thumb nail that people have to quint at their screen to see what it is. Here's an example.

If you are unsure on what the image will look like prior to up loading, simply "right click" the select "preview".

Give it a Title:
You've gone to the effort to find and upload an image why not spend a couple more seconds and fill in the other boxes while you're there. Rather than call you image "OMG" or "LOLWUT" give the image a suited title and even add a description explaining the pic if necessary.

Double Ups:
Try your best to minimise the double ups, hey these things happen and we don't expect you to sift though hundreds of images just to see if the pic you are about to upload has already been uploaded in the past. Just take a second to scroll down to see if it's already on the first page or even flick back through a couple of pages to see if it has recently been added. This will help avoid the age old comment of "DUDE! this has been posted a 100 times already!"
