W = Wins. L = Loss. D = Draw.
Wins = 4. Loss = 8. Draw = 3

[important] I work on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. so you will have to wait till the afternoons on those days for the ladder to be updated.

note to all this ladder isn't just for tournaments, it incorporates everyday matches between myds members, even when its not over wifi just ds-ds. just follow my rules for claiming points.

scoring system.

Everyone starts with 100 points.
Each win +2 points.
Each loss -2 points.
Each tie +1 point.
Minimum points 0.

When two members have had a battle, the loser of the match must pm me. not the winner, otherwise we will have people just saying "i won i won i won", and whoring points. where as more trust can be placed in the loser because they are losing points. this makes it an even playing field for everyone, the rules apply to everyone, no exceptions. for a tie both participants must pm me to confirm.

Dear Slicingman,
Pokemon ladder,

I lost against <insert name here>.

Perfect match:
When none of the winners Pokemon are KO'd, and all the losers Pokemon are KO'd.

Winner: +4 points.
Loser: -2 points

Explained: As this will be a rare sight we have decided to create a reward for it.

Rage quitting.

Rage quitting is when one combatant leaves the battle while it is still in progress, commonly because they are losing. When people lose they get angry/rage so they quit when they are losing hence rage quitting.

Rage quitters will have 10 points removed.

In the case of your wifi dropping out and it appears to be rage quitting, please contact your opponent via a pm/msn asap. I will require confirmation from both combatants that it was a wifi drop out and not rage quitting.

extra
If someone in your family turns off your internet regularly, please specify to your opponent those times, so they know that it was the net going off.
If you battery has gone flat, follow the instructions for wifi drop out.

Other Information:

The use of external devices (scripts and trainers) to alter the Pokémon in a player’s party is expressly forbidden. Players found to have Pokémon that have been tampered with will be severely punished, regardless of whether the player tampered with his or her game or received a Pokémon or item that was tampered with by someone other than the player. It is the player’s responsibility to have legal Pokémon. The Admins monitoring the Ladder will have the final say regarding the legality of a Pokémon.

A player should notify the admins immediately if he or she believes that there is a problem with an opponent’s Pokémon. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE OR THEIR TEAM BEING DODGY REPORT IT!

Players are expected to demonstrate proper sportsmanship. A player may be disqualified from the Ladder if they are abusive or caught demonstrating foul play. This Ladder is for fun and in the community spirit and should be taken as lightly as a day out to play backyard cricket or baseball or what ever.

Abuse over voice chat will not be tolerated. Anyone who has been abused over voice chat please report it to an admin.

Punishment for abuse over voice chat, and cheating (modified pokemon etc).
First offense: -10 points.
Second offense: -20 points.
Third offense: One day ban from Myds, -50 points, one week ban form the ladder.
Further offenses: Admin RAGE!!!

385 – Jirachi,

Although all the above are eligible to enter the legendary leaderboards (except Garchomp and Wobbuffett)

Move Restrictions:

Pokémon may only use moves (including those learned in an earlier games) which have been learned through one of the following methods:

By leveling up
By TM or HM
As an Egg move, through breeding
From a Move Tutor
Already learned by a Pokémon, which was received from another Pokémon game (such as the Pikachu that knows Surf, from Pokémon Battle Revolution)

The only modified Pokemon that can be used are ones that have been approved by an Admin/Redean/Slicingman.

Naming Rules:

Players may not enter a Pokémon nicknamed with the name of another Pokémon (for example, a Lucario nicknamed “Spiritomb”).

Pokemon or trainers must not contain anything that anyone would find offensive, if you are caught with inappropriate names this will be treated as abuse.


Battle Rules:
No spamming of moves that increase Evasiveness e.g. Double Team

Self K.O.'s are allowed and can be used to cause a draw e.g. Explosion

Any status that causes the foes pokemon to become unable to attack (sleep, confusion ect.) can be used as part of strategy but cannot be spammed continuously (similar to the double team clause) is not allowed.

Items are allowed to held by any pokemon during battle. The only item we do not allow is the Soul Dew item. Also items like potions cannot be used in battle but since wi-fi doesn't let you don't worry about it.

its not pointlessly it paralysis them using like air slash with togekiss to have a 60% flinch chance and paralysis if they dont flinch.I dont plan on using it anyway but just for clarification.

also, whats the limit on same item using pokemon. ex. a team of choice specs users, multiply leftovers, etc.

also latios is limited to legeendary but latias isnt limited correct

double team is banned but we can use abilities like snow cloak and sand veil to up evasion right.

sorry if im asking to many questions. i just want to be clear on all the rules. the more we get right now the better off we are later right

No no ask away!
We are yet to clarify the spam things try to keep it at 3 uses of paralysis ect. per battle for now, Latios is limited to legendary, latias is not, I don't see any problems with multiple of the same held item and double team is allowed but same kinda thing as paralysis, so try keep it at 3 uses per battle until we fully clarify it
