Well I don't see why not. When the successor to the DS comes around it will have improved graphics and I don't think Wii level graphics are that big of a stretch.

It could easily happen. The PSP can pull off Wii graphics, not to mention beautiful CGI cutscenes, so why can't the successor to the DS?

EDIT: The next-gen PSP console will supposedly have Xbox-level graphics, possibly higher, if I remember correctly.

Even the Wii has sad graphics for a home console. Nintendo are going a bit downhill couse all they do is work on stopping piracy and making new consoles with no major inprovements, which are both stupid because after the DSi came out, within a week it was hacked. Then again with the 1.4 firmware, it was beaten. They have really good game ideas they just gotta work on thier graphics and sound qualities.

Doubt it. I read somewhere that it uses slightly enhanced Gamecube technology and we all know that the Gamecube wasn't even as powerful as the original Xbox.

Yeah I have never heard it was two times as powerful. I think I saw somewhere it was just a bit more powerful than the original Xbox. To be honest, it isn't that the Wii has bad graphics, it just doesn't have as good graphics as the other consoles. It isn't like you can't even tell what is going on or something.

New DSi XL will probably cost $350-400. Will they be able to price the next console cheaper than the current one? I'm doubting they'll get back to that starting price of $200 of the original DS.

Nintendo of Europe have confirmed it will cost more than the current DSi, which sits at $300 in Aus. I'm assuming the price hike will apply here as well.
