MyDS Pokemon League Guide - 10/10
This is the offical guide to MyDS Pokemon League so read it all and make sure to check back often as this is all subject to change.
At this stage you are probably wondering what the MyDS Pokemon League is.
It is basically at set of rules thought up by me and Slicingman to help boost wi-fi activity on MyDS and add structure to Pokemon battling. It also helps you see how your skills rack up against other MyDS members.
Just quickly I will explain who is charge of what:
Redean (Me) - In charge of rules, any suggestions, questions or complaints about rules goes to me. Also any general enquires can be sent to me.
Slicingman - In charge of ladders, point changes and accepting people into the Pokemon League. This is the guy you talk to about claiming points, joining the pokemon league and any questions about our many ladders. Also if you want to report rule breaking or abuse they can go to either of us but Slicingman would be best to talk to.

In the above thread the Overall ladder is maintained and you can post there to join the MyDS Pokemon League. Also check there regularly for updates as they will be posted there.
Note to all, this ladder isn't just for tournaments, it incorporates everyday matches between MyDS members, even when its not over Wi-Fi and just DS-DS. Just follow the rules for claiming points.
Here is an example of the Overall Ladder and how it works:
1st. iObject 102 W:1/L:0/D:0

Layout
W:4/L:8/D:3
W = Wins. L = Loss. D = Draw.
Wins = 4. Loss = 8. Draw = 3
Scoring System:
Everyone starts with 100 points.
Each win +2 points.
Each loss -2 points.
Each tie +1 point.
Minimum points 0.
When two members have had a battle, the loser of the match must pm Slicingman, not the winner, otherwise we will have people just saying "I won, I won, I won" and stealing points. Where as more trust can be placed in the loser because they are losing points and cannot just say "I won". This makes it an even playing field for everyone, the rules apply to everyone, no exceptions. For a tie both participants must pm Slicingman to confirm.

Important:
Slicingman works on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. So you will have to wait till the afternoons on those days for the ladder to be updated.
Perfect match:
When none of the winners Pokemon are KO'd, and all the losers Pokemon are KO'd.
Winner: +4 points.
Loser: -2 points
Explained: As this will be a rare sight we have decided to create a reward for it.
Rage quitting:
Rage quitting is when one combatant leaves the battle while it is still in progress, commonly because they are losing. When people lose they get angry/rage so they quit when they are losing hence rage quitting.
Rage quitters will have 10 points removed.
In the case of your Wi-Fi dropping out and it appears to be rage quitting, please contact your opponent via a PM/MSN ASAP. Slicingman will require confirmation from both combatants that it was a wifi drop out and not rage quitting.
Extra
If someone in your family turns off your internet regularly, please specify to your opponent those times, so they know that it was the net going off.
If you battery has gone flat, follow the instructions for wifi drop out.
Cheating:
The use of external devices (scripts and trainers) to alter the Pokémon in a player’s party is expressly forbidden. Players found to have Pokémon that have been tampered with will be severely punished, regardless of whether the player tampered with his or her game or received a Pokémon or item that was tampered with by someone other than the player. It is the player’s responsibility to have legal Pokémon. The Admins monitoring the Ladder will have the final say regarding the legality of a Pokémon.
A player should notify the admins immediately if he or she believes that there is a problem with an opponent’s Pokémon.
IF YOU SEE SOMEONE OR THEIR TEAM BEING DODGY REPORT IT!
Players are expected to demonstrate proper sportsmanship. A player may be disqualified from the Ladder if they are abusive or caught demonstrating foul play. This Ladder is for fun and in the community spirit and should be taken as lightly as a day out to play backyard cricket or baseball.
Abuse over voice chat will not be tolerated. Anyone who has been abused over voice chat please report it to an admin.
Punishment for abuse and cheating (modified pokemon etc).
First offense: -10 points.
Second offense: -20 points.
Third offense: One day ban from Myds, -50 points, one week ban form the ladder.
Further offenses: Admin RAGE!!!

50 – Mewtwo, 386 – Deoxys
151 – Mew, 483 – Dialga
202 - Wobbuffett, 484 – Palkia
249 – Lugia, 487 – Giratina
250 – Ho-Oh, 489 – Phione
251 – Celebi, 490 – Manaphy
381 - Latios, 491 – Darkrai
382 – Kyogre, 492 – Shaymin
383 – Groudon, 445 - Garchomp
384 – Rayquaza, 493 - Arceus
385 – Jirachi,
Although all the above are eligible to enter the legendary leaderboards (except Garchomp and Wobbuffett)

Move Restrictions:
Pokémon may only use moves (including those learned in an earlier games) which have been learned through one of the following methods:
By leveling up
By TM or HM
As an Egg move, through breeding
From a Move Tutor
Already learned by a Pokémon, which was received from another Pokémon game (such as the Pikachu that knows Surf, from Pokémon Battle Revolution)
The only modified Pokemon that can be used are ones that have been approved by an Admin/Redean/Slicingman
Naming Rules:
Players may not enter a Pokémon nicknamed with the name of another Pokémon (for example, a Lucario nicknamed “Spiritomb”).
Pokemon or trainers must not contain anything that anyone would find offensive, if you are caught with inappropriate names this will be treated as abuse.
Battle Rules:
No spamming of moves that increase Evasiveness e.g. Double Team
Self K.O.'s are allowed and can be used to cause a draw e.g. Explosion
Any status that causes the foes pokemon to become unable to attack (sleep, confusion ect.) can be used as part of strategy but cannot be spammed continuously (similar to the double team clause) is not allowed.
Items are allowed to held by any pokemon during battle. The only item we do not allow is the Soul Dew item. Also items like potions cannot be used in battle but since wi-fi doesn't let you don't worry about it.

Singles - Under 30's
Singles - Under 50's
Singles - Under 70's
Singles - Open
Singles - Set 100
Singles - Legendaries
Singles - Overall
Doubles - Under 30's
Doubles - Under 50's
Doubles - Under 70's
Doubles - Open
Doubles - Set 100
Doubles - Legendaries
Doubles - Overall
Multi - Under 30's
Multi - Under 50's
Multi - Under 70's
Multi - Open
Multi - Set 100
Multi - Legendaries
Multi - Overall
Under 30’s – Only Pokemon in the 1-29 level bracket
Under 50’s – Only Pokemon in the 1-49 level bracket
Under 70's - Only Pokemon in the 1-69 level bracket
Open – Any level Pokemon is allowed
Set 100 – Any level Pokemon is allowed and the Level 100 setting is used
Legendaries – Any level Pokemon allowed but only certain Pokemon can be used (see list above)
At the moment we only support the overall ladder but we plan to implement the above ladders soon
