Very convenient.
Can plug it into computer, laptop, xbox 360 and all other electronic machines. Instead of plugging in a ginormous battery recharger thingy-ma-bobby (which sometimes doesn't fit because of the one plugged in next to it).

I use my USB charger when I am working night shift at work. We are not allowed to plug our own stuff into the mains so I get around this with the USB charger. The beauty is that it is also smaller as you don't have a transformer.

This is really useful. The cable is easier to carry around than the usual power pack. So I can charge my DS at work when I forget to do it at home. Only downside is it isn't very useful when you don't have access to a computer with USB - not a huge problem these days, but I did run across it once while travelling.
