Firstly, it's probably worth noting that I don't own a Wii. What a travesty! I know that some of you (many of you) probably don't see this as all that much of a big deal. But for me, the Wii is a great console that I am yet to tap into. I need a fix of Galaxy and RE4 (again), as well as some Suda51. I finished Killer7 5 times and to me, it's one of the most unique, original and amazing titles ever made. While the critics didn't typically rate it that highly, those same critics consistently placed it in their top 10 lists for the year of 2005.
No More Heroes comes out on the 20th, but MyMedia has had a copy for a while. I've been bombarded with MSN messages saying, "ZOMG!!! N0 MOR3 HEROES ROX!"
Those messages don't help my cause.
Condemned 2 AND Rainbow Six Vegas 2 both come out on Thursday as well. I've had a copy of Vegas 2 since last Thursday and I've just completed the single-player. I'll leave my impressions to the review. I haven't jumped onto multiplayer yet, but I'll hopefully get a chance to do that today. As for Condemned 2, the first still holds up today, even though it was a launch title, so if the 2nd is even half as good, I'll be getting it, that's for sure.
Of course then there is a little known title by the name of Grand Theft Auto IV, which I had the pleasure of playing last week - www.my360.com.au/ - and I can say that it's shaping up to be a quiet achiever.
I'm actually a little worried because GTA IV comes out on the 29th, and I'm leaving for London and Japan on the 6th. That means a few sleepless nights trying to finish it...actually, meh! Who cares!? I'd be doing that anyway!
Bionic Commando: Rearmed is out in early May for XBLA and PSN and that's shaping up as a great Arcade title, one I'm really looking forward to. I've seen it in action and it looks fantastic!
What I'm playing this week
Well, beyond Vegas 2, Bully and Beautiful Katamari have been swapping places in my 360 daily. Bully is a fantastic game that every 360 and Wii owner should check out, even if you played it on PS2. As for BK, it's quite wonderful. I only gave it a 7/10, but like Killer7, it's a game that's only going to appeal to certain people, and if you enjoy it, you'll love it.
