The DSi, Nintendo's latest console that is soon to be released in Australia (April 2nd), is sparking major controversy. The ones responsible are the American Police. They fear its deadly combination of a web browser, internet access and built-in camera can potentially make it extremely unsafe for children. Strangers and pedophiles can easily contact them and ask the innocent children to provide pictures and videos, ultilising the system's new main feature, the camera.

Quoted from Sergeant Adam Holland of the Fort Smith Police Department in Arkansas:

"Now not only can the children be contacted, but they can be asked to provide pictures, video,"

Sergeant Adam Holland says this, pointing out that kids could use the DSi to possibly circumvent parents' restrictions on when and how they use the web.
