Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard game announced

Ubisoft has announced the launch of Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard: the video-game. Based on the upcoming eponymous movie directed by Luc Besson and produced by EuropaCorp, Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard is a cooperative party-game that will be released this Summer on PS3, Wii, DS and PC

Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard: the video-game is directly inspired by the second movie of the trilogy Arthur and the Minimoys. As in the movie, loyalty and mutual aid are the key for victory and success.

All the 30 different mini-games are based on cooperation: players don’t compete against each other, but have to work together to reach the highest possible score and progress to new challenges. This new and innovative game play will provide hours of fun when playing with friends or family.

Ubisoft and EuropaCorp have worked together to create an original video-game re-transcribing the unique atmosphere of the franchise. Each of the 30 different mini-games are based on a specific scene of the movie Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard. The characters and environments have been developed in close collaboration with EuropaCorp to give the players a genuine Arthur experience.

Moreover, each player will be able to embody his/her favourite Minimoy. Max and Maltazard will be the game masters, Max cheering and helping the players when Maltazard will try to put obstacles in their way. Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard: the video-game has been developed to take advantage of the capabilities of the different consoles.

On the PS3, it is the first up-to-4-players party-game that will be entirely playable with the Sisaxis controller.

The Wii version includes mini-games playable with the Wii Balance Board.

The Nintendo DS version features an exclusive mode named “Pinpin Village”. In this mode, players collect plans and Koolomasai money all along the solo adventure, then build their very own village and share their discoveries with their friends.
