Nintendo is bringing its mighty marketing machine to prime-time TV with an eight-part show, Britain's Best Brain. The hour long show will have contestants performing five tasks an episode, focusing on different parts of the brain such as memory, co-ordination, numeracy, recognition and risk. Funnily enough, they sound like things you have to do on certain Nintendo DS games. Nintendo has full sponsorship of the program, but because product placement is illegal in the UK, (i.e. no one can mention Nintendo consoles, games or other products during the show), it's an odd, but creative kind of advertising deal. The show will start in October on channel Five in the UK.
