Sonic the Hedgehog has been the iconic mascot for Sega for a long time now, known for his sharp attitude and lighting speed, Sonic is all about speed, that’s why I was shocked to hear that a Sonic RPG is in the works, just doesn’t seem like a correct combination, information is thin at the moment, we don’t even have a title yet, so we’ll have to wait and see how this unusual combination turns out. Sega and Bio Ware have teamed up to create this DS title, Bio Ware are responsible for titles such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect so Bio Ware know a thing or two about making RPGs. Bio Ware’s CEO Ray Muzyka has said the developer is ”committed to delivering a truly amazing story-driven experience within the Sonic universe, focusing on capturing the character's broad appeal and placing him in a completely original adventure." Sega has strong confidence in the abilities of Bio Ware to produce a RPG title using their Sonic mascot that will appeal to all ages.
