It’s nice to see some decent home brew applications come to light, most of the time you don’t hear about them, or you only find them by chance. Like myself most of you guys are spoiled by fancy graphics and sound which we expect from any game that we fork over our hard eared cash for, that’s why at first glance you would think The Martian DS looks like a cheap hack job. Now before you judge take into consideration that this game was originally designed by a team of three programmers for a 72-Hour Game Developing competition for years ago. Those developers have decided to do homebrew port for the DS. The Martian DS is a short game which has players roaming the city collecting weapons and power-ups while avoiding gunfire from local law enforcement.
I do hope we see more of these homebrew games come out, some of them are quite entertaining and really fun to play.
