I haven't played this game in years, I lost my PC copy of it ages ago, I still have Riven (the 2nd game in the myst collection) which I love playing. And I not long finished Exile (the 3rd game) on xbox. I still need to buy the 4th and 5th on PC but this game is difinately a must for DS!! The added areas will also be good
The good thing is that I know I won't be disappointed by graphics or whatever because the original game was shocking when you look back on it now (but it was good for it's time)

They touched a book and feel into a funny world. Some classics like this seem to live on forever.

Thats a good point, it is really an experience, although plenty of puzzle to solve. I haven't actually played much of Myst, I have Riven, so I have played more of that, but this might be interesting to get.

It was heaps of fun when it came out. (I still enjoy it, but a lot of people don't these days).

Me and my Dad used to play - I'd do a bit by myself, he'd do a bit, and sometimes we'd play together, comparing notes until we found the solution to a particularly difficult puzzle. It was a very communal game, back in the day.

I have a few friends who used to do the same thing in their family.

If you're not familiar with the gameplay, you basically click between different scenes (in Myst's case you start on an island and each scene is a different area on the island). In each area, you have to solve puzzles to access different worlds. The aim is to solve all the puzzles and work out what happened to the people from the island.

That's the 2 second description.

I never really counted Myst as a game. It was more like sharing the Myst experience, and if you felt like you accomplished something during that time, then all well and good.

I hope the DS version can recreate all of the 3D scenes in detail - when it came out that was one of the main features that gamers enjoyed being immersed in the environment.

The small DS screen may hamper the immersion.

I'll be importing this one.

I played the PC version decades ago and still love it.

Oh, unless they decide to have a release date in Aus...
