News \ More adventure on the DS

Daedalic Entertainment has announced a new adventure title for the DS called "A New Beginning".

The story revolves around two characters: one who has spent his life trying to create a new fuel which would solve the Earth's energy problems; and the other who has come back from a future almost destroyed by global warming to seek his help against a tycoon who only cares about profit.

It's due for release in 2008

Okay? It has a point, a very nice one I reckon, nice and current and political too . Also Final Fantasy VII is a completely style of game, and on top of that the point of this game is very similar to Final Fantasy VII come to think of it, it is discussing alternative fuels just like Mako in Final Fantasy VII. I am actually very very impressed by this prospect.

The article I found to get the story details said it's going to be an old-school point and click adventure, including the artwork. Although I do hope it isn't like modern ones, with a load screen every 2 cm.

Ummm, it doesn't say anywhere it is an RPG. Adventure games are vastly different from RPGs. It is good to see some Adventure games again, I think the DS is a good system for it.
