The Nintendo DS version utilises stylus control for free and penalty kicks, while you’ll also be able to use touch controls to boss about your defensive wall. EA is promising that players will have to use their noggins like never before, tasking them with utilising logic and strategy to succeed, constantly considering all threats and opportunities.

The Nintendo Wii version’s biggest hook is to offer a full footballing experience that both gaming veterans and novices will enjoy. Family Play takes control of your teams running while all the player has to worry about is passing and shooting.
Other new gameplay modes include the Footii Party featuring Juggling, Table Football and Boot It, elements of play in which your own custom Miis play the starring role; and of course there’s the implementation of motion sensing controls which will be used to control everything from free kicks to tackling and throw-ins.
