In February Activision said that that they would be bring Guitar Hero 3 to the Nintendo DS as well as the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. Since then Legends of Rock has gone onto to make almost a billion dollars worldwide but there has been no word yet as to when DS players will be able to rock out.

Activision filling a form with The United States Patents and Trademarks Office has given a possible answer about DS owners being able rock on the go. Activision has registered the title "Guitar Hero On Tour" for "computer game software and related instruction manual sold together as a unit." There was no specified platform for the title which has sprouted speculation that this is the portable version of the popular rhythm game that was announced almost a year ago.

Currently not much more is known about Guitar hero on the Nintendo DS except that fact that Activision said not to rule out the use of a peripheral.
