The sequel to the game that brought together the puzzle and RPG genres as one has now officially been announced at the 2008 Game Developers Conference by D3 Publishers as Puzzle Quest:Galactrix.

The reason it is now officially announced as a Puzzle Quest game (and therefore announced) is because back in April of 2007 D3 Publishers announced the "blend of puzzle, RPG, and strategy games with a sci-fi twist " Galactrix.

The main difference in game play from Puzzle Quest is that is that Puzzle Quest:Galactrix utilises a hexagon board, adding to it's complexity.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is due out this year for DS, Xbox Live Arcade and PC.
