TrackMania, a popular racing game series for the PC, is being ported to the DS. The game, originally developed by French studio Nadeo, is being ported by Firebrand Games, the people responsible for the hit Race Driver: Create and Race. A trailer and two promotional images have been released, however no actual gameplay is shown. However, the video does suggest a track editor will be included, one of the main selling points of the game on the PC.

One of the main features of the game on PC is its online community, with a very large number of members, especially on the free version, TrackMania Nations. It is likely that online play will be implemented somehow, as this is one of the major reasons for the game's success.

Currently, TrackMania DS is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2008.
