Warner Bros today confirmed that all the rumors regarding Lego Batman the video game are true. This release will follow the success of the Lego Starwars series of games.

The game will be released on all the current and future platforms as well as PC. It is likely that there will be a DS version as there was with Lego Starwars. The team from Traveller's Tales who were responsible for the previous Lego games, will once again be working on this new incarnation.

Seeing as Batman has his partner Robin, there is likely to be some co-op action. The game starts after a mass break out at Arkham Asylum. It will be Batman and friends job to find the criminals and put them back behind bars. To help in this task Batman will have his usual set of gadgets and an assortment of bat vehicles.

There has been no release date advised.
