I personally always find the Japanese hardware sales statistics interesting...
Some may question the Japanese market and its relevance to an Australian DS website however people should acknowledge that the Japanese market does have an effect on the Australian market. After all if few DS' or PSP's are being sold in Japan then publishers may be less likely to produce games for one console and lean towards the other....
Anyway... Onto the Japanese sales figures for the week 25th of September to the 1st of October.
As you can clearly see the DS is clearly in the lead for the time being, another week, and top spot is secured again.
What can influence these figures that much? The PSP is clearly in the lead by a significant number of units. Surely price can not be the only factor?
Guys this article is NOT intended to start a fanboy flame war and it won't be tolerated... So don't be tempted to say anything of the sort... However the figures in this article are correct.
