News \ DS revamp may be coming.

Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian who was responding to Nintendo financial reporting, noted to investors that if sales dropped below expectations then a revamp of the DS would have to occur to boost the sales back up.

Nintendo's forecast is to ship 28 million DS's in the 2009 financial year. This figure is only 2 million less than the 2008 F/Y.

Nintendo is going to release new software and services to keep the flow going but if this does not work they may release a refresh of the DS.
Lets just hope they don't make their budget so that the world gets a new handheld from Nintendo.

it was a response to E3. not some analyst who is not affiliated with Nintendo.
where is his evidence to support this claim? Other anaylyst 'pachter' predicts even greater sales of Wii and DS to surpass Nintendos 09 expectations.
See. How can you be so assertive. look at your source.

And your source is??? They responded to say that there would not be a release at E3 but nothing to say that they would not release a refreshed model if sales dropped!

You cannot just make a statement without backing it up.

Yeah I hate the little dual screen thing that can play games, movies, mp3's run apps like drawing, animation and be my personal organiser

Don't forget that there is no definate that it is coming or even exists. This is just a suggestion from a finacial anylst.

they already have a plethora of colors, special editions and bundle deals are a plenty too... and pretty useless mostly... a guitar hero bundle might be nice, but probably is already a done deal...

might be nice to come out with a new model tho, with metal hinges! and maybe comfy grips at hand cramps abound when marathon playing... but replacement cases are readily available as well as different types of add on grips for comfort... so meh...
