Konami have announced that they will be bringing Eledees (known as Elebits in NTSC regions) to the Nintendo DS later this year. Known as Eledees: The Adventures of Kai and Zero the game will be a prequel to the Wii's Eledees. The game is set in a world where humans live along side small electric creatures known as Eledees (Elebits) who are the world’s main source of power. In the Wii title players had to capture the small creatures to let them turn on appliances. While it sounds a little on the strange side, the Wii gameplay made it quite an enjoyable experience.

The DS version will see players be able to catch capture special omega Eledees with magical powers to help you along the quest. The DS will support four-player battle matches through download play and via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

The Wii title was known in all regions as Elebits prior to its launch, before it unexpectedly had its name changed to Eledees for the Pal release. It appears the Eledees name will be remaining in Pal regions.
