When Square Enix announced that they were to bring to port the SNES classic 'Chrono Trigger' to the Nintendo DS fans got really excited. One of the things that Square Enix also made clear was extras were to also be put in the game that weren't in the SNES version.

'Monster Battling' has been revealed to be one of those extras, and could be the biggest extra to be added to Chrono Trigger DS.

Being an all new minigame it gives you the oppurtunity to breed around 50 different monsters and take them in to battle. These monsters give you the oppurtunity to win rare items if they do win battles and monster battles can also occur via WiFi with friends.

No details on how the monster breeding and battling will be exactly incorporated in to the game but you can expect to here more later on concerning Monster Battling.
