Atari Australia is releasing Igor The Game on the 9th January 2009 for Nintendo DS, Wii and PC which will coincide with the launch of Igor The Movie, appearing in cinemas nation wide on January 8, 2009.
Igor tells the story of one Igor who's sick of being a lowly lab assistant with a Yes Masters' degree and dreams of becoming a scientist. When his cruel master kicks the bucket a week before the annual Evil Science Fair, Igor finally gets his chance.
Featuring the voice talents of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Jennifer Coolidge, Arsenio Hall, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, Jay Leno, James Lipton, Molly Shannon and Christian Slater, Igor is the must-see family comedy this summer.
In the PC and Wii versions of the game, players choose one of four main characters - Igor, Eva, Scamper or Brain - and play through an adventure on their own or, on Wii, cooperatively with four people. Many of the challenges, locations and enemies in the game will be instantly recognisable for fans of the feature film.
The Nintendo DS version puts an emphasis on a puzzle style gameplay where players perform movement combinations and fight enemies using the unique control methods. The Nintendo DS version also features a monster creation feature, and players can use their custom built monstrosities to take on puzzles or fight against the creations of other mad scientists.
Igor will be available on Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and PC on January 8, 2009.
