Yes that is right, i have been working a while with MrDS and now MyDS is allowed medals. I have been given permission to create my own and set rules for them.

For those that do not know what medals are, they are small 50x50 pixel pictures that appear in your profile to show what you have achieved or participated in.

If you have an idea for a medal you think would be really cool. PM an Admin, I'm always available, and tell them your idea, maybe even include picture of the medal. They will discuss it with the other Admins and your idea may be a medal!
