Well, the DS screen isnt bullet proof, but it is designed to survive the wear and tear of every day gaming. Of course, the point of the stylus isnt soft like a feather, so if you do hit the DS screen fairly hard with the stylus it will do some damage to the touch screen. If you were just playing normaly, then it would of been a fault withing the system, probably a chance of 1 in 100000000! I'd give nintendo a ring and see what they can do

I mentioned this in another thread today but it was possibly a manufacturing fault if you say you weren't using excess force on it.
