There special because they enable people to be able to get pirated games as such.But there not very good for the gaming industry and nintendo trying to make money as you can download them ILLEGALLY for free.

Nintendo stock has gone 4 fold in the last 2 years. Thats explosive growth for a company that size.

You could say 'it would be more without modchips etc'
But I don't think so, modchips increase hardware sales. A lot of people wouldn't buy a wii/ds if they knew they couldn't mod it.
