General \ Games for 5yr old boy

Hi,
My son has a DS, his just turned 5 and I have the R4 for him, what games would you recommend for him??
So far he really likes Lego Starwars & Lego Indian Jones and loves Mario but only if I put the cheats on so he doesn't die!!
His sister has been teaching him all about Pokemon so he also has Pokemon Diamond on the card and seems to be happy with that but I wouldn't know if his playing it properly as I think his Sis put cheats on that too.
His other intrest would be car type games if anyone knows some easy ones for him.

Im after simple but fun type games with little reading so he can play on his own without me constantly trying to work out the games (Im pretty hopeless with games)

So any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Try Nintendogs. There are some proper kids games for the DS already out or not very far away. My son is 5 and things like Pokemon are hard for him because you need to be able to read properly to fully understand the game.

There is a DS game available now called "Mum I did it!". I'm not 100% sure what it's all about but it's aimed at little kids. Blue box for boys..pink for girls.

"Go Diego Go - Safari Rescue" is out early next month and in August there are quite a few games including "Clever Kids - Pirates", "Clever Kids - Farmyard Fun" and "Bob the Builder - Festival of Fun".

Hope this helps a little.
