My favourtie side scroller would have to be Contra. That was a hard game and it was always frustrating as my friend would always still be alive and continue to play while I just watched. It was just a thrill to get past the first thirty seconds of the game (I always was the player that wanted to be on the boat)

soldat.pl is the site, free download, game is free for all yet you can donate if you want extras.. you dont need them though. ak47 best gun in that game
nothin like blowing 2d people up with weapons and explosives.. specially online with others.... cept doing it to 3d people.

Got an import of this game and it is truly one awesome game, I have played all metal slug games and this is truly one I have enjoyed the most out of the series.

MY favorite side-scrolling 2D game would have to be Metroid fusion on GBA. This game was absolute fun. I have played this game and completed it over 3 times because of how fun it was. Also the fact that It was one of the first Gba games I played it was awesome.

I played this when I was 5 I was so atticted to it...But than my Gameboy broke but I think I may still have that game in the garage I will have to look for it sometime...but in total it was a game I shall never forget

my favorite Side Scrolling Shooter has to be Space Invaders (Original Arcade Game)
This is my favorite SSS because it was probably one of the revoltuitionary games that changed how games were played. the aliens, the ships, and everything. I was able to get up to 195,000,000 points at the arcade once. that is my big moment in my favorite SSS.

I liked that game but it would of been more awesome if they had ground enemies too. Controls were cool.

I'd say Metal Slug 3. I like the game cause it's fun a 2D side scroll action which has a lot of humor to the game and is even more fun with friends. The characters also provide humor and the weapons and enemies make a LOT of hetic action. I also like how the creative some enemies and weapons are.
