Too bad it's not happening. One of the other bits in Metroid Prime 3, when scanned said Project 'Dread' was a Failure. Even the makers of Metroid (not Nintendo, I don't know the name of the exact person) said it's unprobable. But, Other M looks pretty good!

"It does take place after Metroid Fusion" one of the creators of Metroid said.But i think that it's highly unpropable that the game will come out soon.
