Warner Bros. and Harmonix have today announced LEGO Rock Band for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, XBOX 360 and Nintendo DS. TT Games, The LEGO Group, MTV Games, Harmonix and publisher Warner Bros will all be teaming up to bring the game to life.
The premise behind the title is that you 'Build a Band and Rock the Universe' by creating rockstars LEGO style. As with the previous games in the brick building world LEGO Rock Band will no doubt be packed with humour. Harmonix also confirmed that the Rock Band instruments will be compatible along with other music game controllers.
Five songs were confirmed with the games announcement; 'Song 2' by Blur, 'The Final Countdown' by Europe, 'Kung Fu Fighting' by Carl Douglas, Pink's 'So What' and Good Charlotte's 'Boys and Girls'.

"LEGO Rock Band is built around the same values of imagination and family-friendly creative role play that is present in other LEGO videogames. It will deliver innovative new elements of game play that complement the fun of the Rock Band experience.”
LEGO Rock Band will be released later this year.
