Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth producer, Motohide Eshiro, has revealed that the Ace Attorney franchise will stay loyal to the DS, and that there are no plans to migrate to consoles in the future.
Speaking to Siliconera he said "It's not that we don't like other hardware and that we don't want to do it. It's just it was original made for handhelds, it was made to be played on the go, and also the interface we created the game, especially for Ace Attorney Investigations, uses the touch screen and we want people to interact with that. You can't replicate that on Xbox Live. For us, the DS seems like the most natural fit."
When asked if the Investigations spin-off would become a series in its own right he replied "Right now, we don’t have any plans. We are considering it, but we are waiting to see what the reaction is even in Japan where it’s only been out a couple of months. If fans demand it we will consider making a series out of the whole thing. For now, it’s just one game."
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth will be released in Australia, Europe and North America in early 2010.
