I found this at a random site because my friend said something about nintendo that they might make a new one. Could be fake so don't post "FAKE!" comments. Looks pretty real though to me.

Im new but if you ask me the reason they didnt make a gold and silver DS remake is because it had the biggest game style out of all the games since it had 16 badges and the final boss's pokemon were in the lv 80's, AND another reason is because colloseum and XD are already out and you can get all the legendaries from them except Celebi. I always wanted nintendo to make a pokemon game that combines all of the regions along with all of the pokemon. ( The ultimate pokemon DS game )

I think that it may be real. For one thing, they talk a whole lot about Johto and characters from there in Diamond and Pearl, which probably means they are trying to give you a hint that they are making a remake. I am not 100% sure about it, like the cover art may be fake, I have seen lots of fake game art for games. xD If they did make a remake I would be so HAPPY!!! =D Let's just cross our fingers and hope that it is real. =D

Also, gold and silver will NEVER be remade. There's no point. All the pokemon needed to be caught in diamond and pearl can be done with ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire red, leaf green, and diamond/pearl themselves. The point of making fire red/leaf green was to complete the pokedex where johto could not, lacking a gold/silver version for the GBA. Fire red/Leaf green, though in Kanto, is the GBA replacement for Gold/Silver.

Going back to how obvious of a shop this is...
Nintendo NEVER makes the box shots with just the heads. They always include the full body. And if you take a look at the game ID (right next to the CERO rating) you'll see that they're the same for both gold and silver, which is never the case in any game.

The japanese text that says 'gold' and 'silver' is right, but the font is wrong. Since not many fonts contain japanese characters, the person who shopped it used the default one that comes with windows. Take a look at all the other japanese pokemon box-shots. XD
