It's all over for the Famicom, Nintendo's industry reviving 8 bit machine that launched two decades ago.This week Nintendo announced that it was ceasing to repair the machine, with company spokesman Ken Toyoda citing the lack of stock parts as the main reason. This also applies to the Super Famicom, or the Super Nintendo outside of Japan.The Famicom is arguably what revived the video games industry after the crash during the 1980s where the market was flooded with countless numbers of rubbish games. The Famicom wowed the world with it's far superior graphics and quality game play that Nintendo tested releases for before allowing the game to be produced.Toyoda attempted to cheer up an upset fan saying, '"Some say it's sad Famicom is leaving and players are nostalgic, but Nintendo's saga has not ended. We want people to enjoy the Wii now,"So get ready eBay nuts, holding onto your old consoles could result in some serious financial gain.
