--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Super Mario Bros Is by far one of the best DS games and one of the best games i have played in my life. First of all i only bought the game for $30 at EB. I bought it second hand plus it had no case. But who really cares aye? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Single Player: The main focus of the game of course. This to me really reminded me of the classic mario games. Great simple games that lasted a long time. This one was just slightly modified and better graphics of course. The length of this game really kicked in when you realized that you had just spent all that time having fun and finishing a whole level just to find out that there is another whole new world to explore! It was great to see the different ways they designed this game. Getting different power ups from a simple mushroom increasing your size to a cool little blue shell where you could go round bumping into things and killing things, only to run off the edge and die. Stars, Flowers, giving you powers to shoot and become invincible. These simple ideas that were added to such a basic game really make an impact on the gameplay. Some levels required skill and being able to solve puzzles very quickly. I enjoyed this very much. And if you finished the game too quickly you can always go back and search for all the Giant Gold coins hidden throughout the whole game is easy and sometimes quite tricky places. Who couldn't enjoy this game. I see younger kids loving it. I see adults loving it, i know i did! Don't forget that giant mushroom that made you massive --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Multiplayer: This really did slip my mind for most of the time i had this until i finally decided to venture further into the games design that you found this magical wonderland of great things. These mini games could keep me entertained sometimes more then the 1 player! Just the amount of them was enough to leave someones mouth wide open! I still remember sitting up late at night playing Wanted, the most simple game and still not being bored after reaching a score of over 250! It was quite awesome to be hooked on only a few games and then it hits you that you have barely scratched the surface. These games all used the touch screen to play them. This was great unless of course your touch screen was damaged. I know mine isn't but i used peoples that were and it was absolute hell to try and play it on! Different types of mini games from puzzle to chance to skill to many other things. But the one main thing that interested me about this game, after i realized that these mini games were very similar to that of Super Mario 64 DS, and that not all of them were very new to me. They had had one added feature to this game. The Wi-Fi!! This was so much fun to be able to play up to 4 people on Wi-Fi at these mini games with only 1 game card, then you could play these awesome 1 vs 1 games. And if that bored you go play some cool thing where you run around chasing stars! Pure Genius. Great games, almost worth a game in itself --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion: Coming to a close now. What makes up a good game, is everything in here. It's simplicity while dealing with a fair bit of complicated problems, and the stunning graphics for a DS game, this was truly a great game. Considering the price i bought it for, $30 i would give it a 12 out of 10. But it sells for more at most places, and some people want something a little more in depth. Thus 9/10. A must buy game, playable in many occasions -Chambalam
