Impossible. Sorry. The equations used to determine if you can catch a pokemon with a pokeball are determined by several things.

Unfortunately, Dialga blows most of the requirements away. IE, pokemons lvl must be lower. By the time you hit Dialga, if you've trained your party evenly...you shouldn't be higher. Unles you traded a pokemon from someone.

Yeah, it would be pretty much impossible to get it with a Pokeball first ball, let alone at all.

But an Ultra Ball is possible, i caught Mespirit will a Ultra Ball first go.

The Emerald Elite Four can be hard at times, especially the first time, to make it easier, save up lots of money, then buy lots of Full Restores and Revives

I got stuck in diamond, i walked around for hours finding only dead ends. had to look at one of the online walkthroughs to find out that i had forgotten to go chasing after the galactic grunt to continue the storyline. after i went back to see him, the game continued to unfold again. kicked myself real hard for that one.

i had a shiny Weezing appear, granted i had been trying to catch Weezing before hand they were quite prone to using self destruct, i immediately used a masterball to catch it

While it's not the stupidest thing on my part, it's more on the games part. In the safari zone (well marsh, whatever you like to call it) in Pearl i happened to come across a shiny Wooper, of course i missed out on catching it as the lil bugger fled on me >.<

I had heaps of good Pokemon in Pokemon Emerald, then I restarted so my Action Replay could work and get Mews under level 9. Only to find out you can't trade Mews under level 9 on the GTS... (I wanted a Shiny Dialga) I was so angry, but then learned to laugh at my mistake.
