It has been confirmed that the highly acclaimed SNES title Chrono Trigger will finally see an Australian release in early 2009 when the title arrives in Pal regions.
Chrono Trigger was originally release by Squaresoft in 1995 for then SNES. The title missed Pal regions including Australia and Europe for both the original release and the 1999 and 2001 Sony PlayStation re-releases which made their way to Japan and America respectively. The DS incarnation will be the first time those in Pal regions can purchase the game without the hassle of importing, 14 years after the initial release. The DS version will make full use of the touch screen and wireless multiplayer.
Chrono Trigger will be released in the US and Japan later this year, before making it’s way to Australia and Europe early in 2009, and exact date is to be confirmed.
