MyDS.com.au \ What does the future hold for myds.com.au?

As we live in a generation where advances in technology remain a constant factor in shaping the production of newer and better computers, gaming consoles and hand held gaming devices, evidently there will be further communities such as myds.com.au that will cater for these future developments.

But what will happen to sites such as this when the next trend in gaming devices arrives? more specifically, what do you think will happen to this specific website when Nintendo releases their next hand held gaming device? Perhaps the website will merge with newer websites and cover a variety of Nintendo hand-held gaming devices? Perhaps it will slowly fade away into nothing and hit the dead end of internet websites?

Nothing lasts forever. But what is your own opinion?

I would hope this site would stay after the next hand held, its not like MyWii is going to close down after the next console. Just less people, and hopefully a new site.

Now, that would be the best outcome, for worst it could result in the administrator closing down all the websites because of too many consoles and cost of the websites. Now, that would be the worst outcome.

Who knows, all we can wish for is the best.

I think it's nice to have own specific site, surprisingly a lot of people that have a DS have no interest in any other Nintendo consoles, which I have discovered while requesting to host guides on this site.

The Nintendo DS is stil gong strong and will do so for a long time, just look at the sales, so if the DS is still going good then so should this site if we all stay committed.

Lets hope so, something like the DS advance, the Gameboy series has ended but we still talk about it here and we even have a dedicated games sections for it.

It all started at MyPSP.com.au then branched of into all the Mymedia sites from there.

To be honest, in regards to the post above which stated that mywii.com.au receives more post activity than myds.com.au, I don't post on mywii.com.au or at least I post very rarely since I recently (nearly 3 months now) began using the DS again after a lapse of perhaps 1.5 years? I haven't bought a new Wii game since March.

Wow you just made me depressed...but anyways I think this site will last, and say if nintendo just make a new hand held, we'll just merge sites, at least I hope so

Haha, he made me laugh too... No guys there was never a MyGBA.com.au, or MyCube.com.au. You guys should visit some more or them, I'd be happy to see your posts on other MySites, go to the bottom of the page. You don't have to have the console, as long as you don't spam and be a good member you can stay. You must have a basic knowledge of the console though.
