heya,im new to this fourm,um yeah,hope this was the rite place to post this and have done it correctly.Anyway,today i bought some screen protectors for my ds(i dont have it yet,in a few weeks for my bday) ,this was the first time i saw them so i thought i better bye some.

I was just wondering,are they anygood,do they come off if u want to remove them,do they casue any damage .just things like that,all help would be aprricated,i dont want to stuff up my ds.

Nice First Post And Welcome!

But I am very sorry you haven't quite got the section right!

You have put it in the Myds.com.au section and that is really for stuff like

• Myds should have this.....
• what do you think should be added to myds....
• some changes are happening to myds....

accessories is a hard one to place so next time if you don't know

Once again welcome! ok if your DS is gonna be brand new then definetely you must buy screen protectors for that bottom screen because with a stylus slide across it constantly it will scratch so, so, sooooo much! There should be about $20-$30 in a pack with styluses and others or $10 on there own!

Hello Diarch and welcome to myds. It was a good choice to get screen protecters. They're alsoem and do no harm to your DS. Its just like a clear piece of plastic that goes over the 2 screens. You see prefectly through it and you can take them off if you want to change them.

Screen protectors and a hust have in my opinion, I have them for both the top and bottom screens and they do a good job of keeping my screens clean and scratch free, plus they are cheap as, I've had mine on since purchase and they still are doing their job.

A couple of things for me to say about screen protectors. The amount of little scratches mine has on it after less than two weeks of play is amazing. I can't believe I waited so long to buy some.

They are damn hard to put on!!! Maybe that's just me...

I'm also wondering if any brands are better than others. I can't see mine lasting too long before I have to change the touch screen one because I won't be able to see anything from the little scratches!

Also, can you buy these things on their own? I've only ever seen them in packs with stylus etc. There are only so many styluses I need! (how do you pluralise stylus??? ha!)

They're the ones that I got, just make sure you have clean dust and dirt free screen before you apply them, they look yuk with even one spec of dirt has gotten underneath the screen protector.

I second that. With the stylus running over the screen all the time, I thinks it's definately worth the investment... but I bought them from GamersWonder for about $3 each.... I think they are $5 now

I had the same problem with my old screen protector where dust stuck to the underside, I got so frustrated that I peeled it off and threw it away. I went online to get a new one, a more expensive one and I came across one call expertshield.com.au. They claimed that if I got dust stuck to the underside, I can wash it off with running water and then use hair dryer to dry it and then put it on again, they guarantee it'll stick. I tried and it did stick.

i don't think so. if you're going to play a game like elite beat agents, your stylus is like a razor as you're doing circles on the touch screen. in order to be fast, you have be pretty firm as well. can't have it the other way.

Anyway, they are fairly cheap, and a good first purchase accessory for your DS in my opinion. Just use a card like a squeegee to push out any air bubbles. When I first put mine on, I had air bubbles, hard to explain how to do it though, hopefully they have good instructions, oh, and peel it back if you cant get the air bubbles out and go slowly using the card/squeegee to push the film flat and bubble free.

Couldn't agree more, replacing these screen protectors is way cheaper compared to replacing the screen.
