MyDS.com.au \ News Submission Update - ZERO TOLERANCE TO COPY AND PASTING

Hi everyone!

Update: As of today we are taking a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TO COPY AND PASTING WHOLE NEWS ARTICLES.
This is causing a lot of problems and if nothing else is just plain copyright infringement. While we do ask that members take the time to submit well written articles, copy and pasting is not a way of doing this.
Anyone found copying and pasting whole articles will have their post deleted (a large kudos penalty) with a message from the admin team. The news article will also be submitted to the news team for follow up.

Can all members who wish to post news, either via a direct news-add or contribution, please read our brand new guide at www.myds.com.au/

We have set out some guidelines that will assist all of us and we hope that through this guide everyone can get a better understanding of what it takes to submit news-worthy and professional news articles.

Please keep all discussion on this topic in this thread.

The short answer is we're going site by site. Like I said I'll be spending a lot more time on here over the coming weeks and you'll see a lot more coming through the news feed.
As something else in the meantime we've thrown up the news guide for anyone who wants to have a crack at the news, which we highly encourage.
Basically it's nothing against the DS, I love my DS

Something that has come back to me a couple of times has been the self credit note in the guide.
The only place the no self credit thing applies is the main news feed. Everywhere else, guides, reviews and so on is fine.

Guys, this isn't new. It hasn't been mentioned on this website before, so robtot has taken the time to alert you guys. Other websites will not tollerate plagerism of any form. Just make sure you don't copy and paste your news. If you have references from another website, just make sure you reference them correctly.
