Nintendo Wi-Fi \ Playing online

Hi,
can someone tell me if i buy a Wireless router will i be able to play online with games such as mario kart ?
do I have to pay anything apart from my broadband internet connection?
and is 256k broadband speed quick enough??

256 is slow, but 'should' be okay... funny tho that it seems more expensive now to go with a slower speed than with the faster/fastest available here... i dunno but that has been the case i have found comparing prices and such...

Sad tho that a kid in a mud hut in ethiopia will have faster broadband tho...

No it doesn't. It all depends on what router you have. Visit the Official Nintendo WiFi website and it gives you a list on which router is best for Nintendo WiFi connection.
