General \ Where to find DSL in Sydney - Urgent?

Hi, I am desperately trying to find a DSL in Sydney (anywhere within 30min drive of CBD)and they are sold out everywhere. I am flying overseas next Sunday (20 January) and want to get it before then, so that I can charge it for use on the plane. I am also getting an R4 which I want to load up and test before I go.

So far I've tried EB, David Jones (City/Bondi), Dick Smith, Target, JB Hi Fi, Big W etc etc... no luck and most are saying that they won't be shipped until 14 Jan and it will be about 2 weeks from then before the stores get them! Aghhhh

Can anyone help? I am too scared to buy off Ebay as most appear to be Asian imports and I am worried about authenticity. I am actually going to China, so if I want a fake or refurbished I can get one there!

well in dick smith, they can tell you what stores have them in stock... last i heard was parramatta power house... kmarts i have been to have tons of them, eb had them, game had them... tho i would boycot game to be rid of them... dont just drive around, call around...

Apparently its usually the display model that is showing as available, however they don't sell the display model to buyers. Aghhhhh

I will give Kmart a call. I have also called all EB stores within driving reach and they all have the display boxes, but no actual consoles. Expected delivery is 2 weeks.

Most places seem to have the display boxes on show to look like they have them, but when you ask or call, they say oh no we sold out before Christmas!

I've downloaded a bunch of games, lets just hope I can get it to work. Might need some help, although the instructions seem quite easy enough.
