Hardware \ stuck or dead pixels on upper screen..

Hey guys im a newie here, just have a question about the screen..my son has just dropped his DS and it now has a line on the upper screen of either stuck or dead pixels, im not sure which..they are all different colours..green, red, blue, yellow..just wondering if there is anyway to possibly fix this or how I go about replacing the screen if thats what needs to be done, it's not all that bad, but i just hate things that aren't how they're supposed to be lol..

As long as the pixels aint black i think it is fixable i remember reading somewhere...Google it....looking a movie with flashing colours may help it get unstuck although you will need a r4 card or something to put it in...

Maybe run a game that repeats high flashing colours....although i can't think of one...

the black one means it is dead and completely not fixable

well today it seems worse, we now have 2 dark black lines straight across the screen and one green one going down the screen, this is all on the upper screen, so now I guess I need to fix it, we only brought it just before christmas..but stupid me has lost our reciept...so does anyone know who or where in Sydney would be the best place to get it fixed?

If I hadn't lost the receipt I would be taking it back straight away...I might go see them though..I had it on layby so they may be able to look it up in the system and re print it for me maybe...If I can get them to do that it will save me the drive to Artarmon to see the other guy..

If you're going to get it fixed, buy one of the wrist-straps so that there is less chance of them falling. Make sure the wrist-strap quality is good, and if it has a clip, don't trust it too much.

well i managed to find the reciept buried in a bag in our back room lol..basically spent all day today chasing it up, went to 1 kmart and was told sorry we cant do anything about it, so went to another one, who told me to call Nintendo and see what they say, so i did, and the guy at nintendo told me that the store should just replace it for me, told the girl and she was fine with it, but gave me a exchange voucher instead as they had none in stock, rang around and eventually found Broadway had 2 in stock so raced over there and picked up a new DS...so thanks for all your help and advice..Im just glad i got it all fixed up and didnt have to pay any extra (minus the petrol costs for today haha)
