I'm having trouble getting my DS to connect to my wireless network. I always get the error message that the access point could not be detected.

I'm fairly new at this but as far as I'm aware the Nintendo DS uses ad-hoc to connect and I've set the WG111v2 setting to ad-hoc but still no luck.

Could anyone provide any advice to fix my problem please?

Is it possible that a USB Wireless Adapter is incapable of having the DS connect to it?

Also does your wireless network have a security code on it? if so is it using WEP as thats the only one the DS can use. But the DS would still be able to find the access point.

The Nintendo DS has its own USB wireless adapter for connecting to the network. You can get a Nintendo made one and a 3rd party made one. These will work with your DS along with a wireless modem / router but I am not sure that a different wireless USB adapter will work

I've finally been able to detect the network on my DS but when it tests the connection it gives me Error Code 51099: Unable to find a compatible access point. Confirm SSID settings or move within range of a compatible access point.

The SSID is right and im less than a meter from my PC.

Any suggestions?
