Yep still have my original DS. bought it about 3 months after release, still managed to get the metroid demo for it too.

Rarely got used, more so on travel than anything else lol. Used it a bit for SM64DS and Pokemon Pearl, then more recently since i got my R4 in september been having fun with that, though again i dont turn it on as much.

agreed I got a DS at launch and only very recently updated to the lite very happy with that decision!

got 2 phats for my kids, they are great, very durable, i played one of them for a while til i got a lite... wife and i both have lites, and hers already has a cracked hinge... sucky, but they are thin and more fragile... would love to have a metal if not just metal hinged lite... but oh well... considering i dont know how old both of the phats are, they are still going strong, other than a battery replacement in one of them today actually... wife is thinking to get a phat now for durability... see them selling as 'new' on ebay, wonder how they can have new ds phats tho... *shrugs* but i just love ds's, so am happy with either...

Having both I can say the lite is a lot more comfortable, its brighter and importantly is lighter in your hands and more portable. If you already have a phat it isn't necessary to upgrade but it is a nicer gamer experience.
