I grew up with a lot of aussies. Even though the definition of an aussie has changed from time to time (ie. aboriginal, multicultural). But let's assume we're talking about convicts 
Somewhat I think we've gone off-topic ...argh! Cooking mama 1 and 2 are good games. I have played them also. I consider it a game for everyone.
But speaking as a hobby game programmer, I think every game has an intended audience. It shouldn't really offend anyone IF a game was intended to be played by girls, hence having the title "a girl game". Anyone can play it. It's just you might get looked down upon by the next girl sitting beside you, especially if you're trying to impress her *coughsomeoneiknow*.
