What access point do you mean? Is it a wireless router or a Nintendo Wifi dongle?

It could be your router's security settings. The DS is incompatible with any security other than WEP. If your router is set to anything other than WEP, even entering the correct shared key will not work. To test this, turn off all your router's security.

If your router is on WEP, make sure you're entering the first shared key your router was given (if your router has multiple key slots).

Furthermore, have you set up your router correctly? 'Turn on DHCP' type stuff.

Furthermore, some routers are incompatible with Nintendo Wifi, as I recently found out. Check www.nintendowifi.com.au/ for your router's brand and build.

Is your computer on and connected to the internet? Have you accepted the DS on the dongle's software? Have you installed the dongle's software?

Have you read the documentation that came with the dongle, or looked your problem up in the Nintendo Wifi website?

It says that you need to have your computer on, your dongle's software installed and your internet connection active. When your DS tries to connect to the dongle it will ask you to accept the DS as a client using the dongle's software. After this, your internet connection should work like an ad-hoc wireless link.

Is the problem fixed yet?

Oh and your network can't have more than one computer in it I think because it slows it down and it can't connect,if you have more than one computer on one network you could just two two off...

but I don't have bloody Broadband anymore damn Telstra... So I can't be much of assistance with the internet crap...but I'm good with firewalls and viruses and all that...
