Hey guys, what do you think of Professor Layton ad The curious village?

I think it's great so far!

The puzzles in the game can get very hard so if you need help don't hesitate to ask.

This thread is for everyone who has the game (or wants the game) to just talk/rave/ask about it.

it is a fabulous little game in my opinion... the puzzles seem geared towards 12 year olds and thus are pretty simplistic/easy... but other than that fun to play... a sequel is assured, and hopefully they will jack the puzzles up to an 18+ level... mayhaps even make a really hard version for really smart people/scientists! THAT would be a hoot!

The game can pretty darn hard at times.

Plus even though I've been doing that crossing the river puzzle in various guises since I was 12, it still takes me 87 goes to solve the darn thing!

I hope it has puzzles like were the mic is used and were you have to put two images togetther to get the full image. Another code is like that and i hope this game is like that to.

Unfortunately I haven't encountered ay puzzles that use the mic, or involve you closing the DS.

It may have quite a bit of text, but who cares!

Super Paper Mario and Pokemon Diamond have heaps of text, but they're still great games!

As with Ninty-Au, it's all very confusing. The blurb on nintendo.com.au says you can access puzzles by wi-fi connection, but the aus wi-fi connection website doesn't list professor layton. However, I'm nearly certain that site hasn't been updated for aus in about 2 years...and the only way to contact ninty-au is via phone during business hours.

That's what's worrying me about the game, I like puzzles but I don't like heaps of text in a game.

I like puzzle games so after reading the review i picked up the game yesterday.

Being another text hater I wish they had an option for story mode or just doing the puzzles, but the text isn't too bad so far am really enjoying it.
