Hardware \ Headphones versus speakers

I normally use headphones when I play my DS Lite for the surround sound. The internal speakers on the DS are not very good.

The headphone sound quality is very good.

I connected the DS to PC (external) speakers - Harman Kardon Sounsticks II. Left and front speakers and a sub woofer. The sound quality was better than the inbuilt DS speakers but not as good as headphones.

I can conclude that DS sounds don't use bass because the sub woofer was not utislised. The sound on the front speakers was clear but not surround sound. I blame this on the DS rather than the speakers - not enough power.

Yeah I've used earphones in the past on the DS with good results but I've been meaning to try and plug it into my 7.1 surround sound home theater set up and see what happens. At the moment I missing th headphone jack converter.

yeah, i just use the ds speakers even though headphones sound better. on the psp, i use a speaker-system/base for movies/charging and headphones for playing... i'll need to get some new headphones soon

Don't buy high costs speakers just for your DS!
