Hardware \ Tips? How to remove scratches, acid stains....

My DS has suffered a few scratches and the D-Pad and buttons are looking pretty terrible with a bit of discoloration.

Scratches are on the outer glossy plastic/acrylic surface.
The D-pad suffers from acid stains caused by perspiration.

Any suggestions to removing them?

This is easy fixed. Just get a new case for it and replace it. Most cases come with new buttons and the screwdriver to do it all. Good opportunity for a case mod.

I am the one that suggested Global Consoles for a case replacement IF you hadn't read that thread properly. Done it and I have white buttons and a white d-pad on a black casing. Looks awesome.
Just had it for about a week or two.

I've got all the tools for a case replacement. I am thinking of bulk buying replacement shells so I can do it for other people.
